Sustainability is a core part of Ryder’s approach, from the salon fit-out and clean, naturally-focused products used and retailed, to salon waste management. Ryder is a member of the international Sustainable Salons initiative, a resource recovery programme that recycles and disposes of salon waste safely and works towards a lower carbon footprint.

Colour pricing is based on length and thickness of hair and time required to achieve the desired result. More than one session may be required for extreme colour changes. We offer complimentary consultations for exact quotes. We use ammonia-free, PPD-free and Resorcinol-free Original & Mineral colour that contains sustainably harvested native Australian plant extracts. We recommend Olaplex for additional protection and strengthening during lightening processes.

In the unlikely event that problems arise with your colour or cut in the two weeks following your service, please let us know. We will correct anything you are unhappy with, free of charge. For complex colour work, we prefer bookings by phone or email to understand the work required and book an appropriate appointment length for a great outcome. All colour-only appointments are given a Colour Finish Service at the appropriate charge. Colours applied by Colour Specialists attract an additional charge.

Ryder offers a sliding scale of prices reflecting years of experience and client demand for the stylist. The upper tier represents our highly experienced senior stylists, and the lower tier includes our fully qualified emerging stars. Ryder is a cashless business. Eftpos, credit card, etc are welcome.

A generous discount on valet parking at Britomart Carpark is available for Ryder customers. Please ask for details when phone booking or at our reception.
