You’re always immaculately styled and groomed. Where or who do you get your style inspiration from?

KE I’m influenced by the things around me whether conscious of it or not… people, magazines, online & something that just comes from within.

What are your favourite labels?

KE There are many fashion labels I admire—Isabel Marant for her French je-ne-sais-quoi boyish bohemian style and local label Mahsa for her beautiful blouses.

How do you feel about sustainability in fashion?

KE I think sustainability in fashion is something that more people are becoming conscious of and hopefully this will improve. Buying garments second hand or up-cycling are things I do to be more sustainable and I'm definitely putting more consideration in before making a purchase.

What are your personal style mantra’s?

KE Never underestimate the power of a good outfit or Haircut. Fashion is what you buy. Style is what you do with it.

Do you break style rules? Should they be broken?

KE I think the biggest rule in style you can break is not dressing for you - your size or shape. It all comes down to the individual & how you wear something… but there is nothing wrong with a bit of double denim...

You’re a trained hairdresser so you’re well qualified to comment. What’s your favourite iconic hairstyle?

KE I have always gravitated towards shorter styles—Audrey Hepburn & Twiggy are icons for short hair. Natalie Imbruglia's haircut in her “Torn” video - A Choppy Bob, I remembered thinking how cool & free it was. Michelle Williams… there are many. I like hair to have a natural feeling to it & not be too contrived or over styled.

If you were stuck on a desert island and could take only 3 hair tools or products, what would you choose and why?

KE I would probably take Iles Formula Shampoo, Conditioner to keep my hair in great condition & GHD Platinum + to smooth out my hair when I wanted too and it is equally as useful to smooth out any crinkles in your clothes.
