Tim D — Photographer

Photographer Tim D has spent the last 15 years documenting Aotearoa; the artists, the locals, the sports people and the streets and suburbs that they call home.

His debut photo book "Mercury Plaza," was a tribute to the iconic Food court & Asian supermarket. The book was launched alongside an exhibition, and solidified the memory of a beloved community space lost to urban development.

His follow-up book “Avondale” is the culmination of over 5 years of work in collaboration with well established creatives and community leaders from the area.

As well as documenting people living and creating on the margins, Tim's portfolio extends to collaborations with prominent brands, including a project celebrating Adidas's 25-year milestone with the All Blacks. His ability to blend commercial work with authentic storytelling has allowed him to carve out a unique space in the industry.

Through his lens, Tim continues to document and celebrate the evolving landscapes of Aotearoa and abroad and the communities that inhabit them. He uses both still and moving images to preserve their stories for future generations and those that lived the experience.
